Ugly Betty, which had 4 seasons of success by the time it ended but was canceled in 2010. The cancellation allowed the show to have a final season. NBC confirmed the renewal of the series in the month of May 2010.However the show was cancelled due to Newton declaring her pregnancy co-star Jordana Spiro was legally bound to stay with her other project My Boys (which had been then cancelled) as well as Chupack's wish to leave the show, Love Bites was pushed back to mid-season.
